Google Photos best and popular photo sharing and storage service which is offering by Google. The service was first released on 2015 May. Google Photos offers unlimited free photo sharing for all its users. How to hide someone in Google Photos:

Google Photos stores images with People by grouping similar photos. You can access people section in Albums. Here you can hide someone photos by hiding a person.

  1. Tap the search bar.
  2. Expand the section with faces of people in your library.
  3. Tap and hold on the person you don’t want to see.
  4. Select “Hide” in the upper right corner.

Once you hide a person, Google Photos will avoid surfacing photos featuring that person in “Rediscover this day.”

Google Lens is an App which is designed to bringing up relevant information using visual analysis. This Google Lens was released on October 4th, 2017, this app integrated with Google Photos and Assistant and the service is similar to Google Goggles.  Initially, this will only available on Google Photos and Google Assistant on Google Pixel Devices. Check the highlighted area on the above image, there is a small button called Google Lens. By selecting this button you will get more options such as search results and information of the image. This Google Lens also allows you to select text option like OCR (Optical Character Recolonization)m this is an amazing feature in Google Photos.

Sync Device Folders:

Google Photos allows selecting folders to sync. But, the camera folder is automatically backed up, and other folders are our choice, you can backup or not it’s your choice.   You can change folder backup settings by accessing settings.Google Photos Back up and sync setting

Go to Settings – select backup & sync – and tap on Back up device folders: Here you can select which folders do you want to auto backed up. For reference check above image.

Google Photos Free Unlimited Storage:

Go to settings – select Back up and Sync – and select upload size to High Quality (Free Unlimited Storage). Now you will get unlimited photo and video storage.

Remove Geo-location Information:

Do not share your Geo-information with others, now you can remove Geo-information in Google Photos App. In Google Photos Setting there is an option to remove Geo-location. This option will remove Geoinformation of a  photo or video that you share with a link.

Group Similar Faces:

This is an amazing future in Google Photos.  Group Similar Photos makes you find pictures easily by grouping same faces.  You can give labels to faces of your photos.
