3D-Printed Space Fabrics Developing in NASA for Use in Space.

NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) scientists are designing metal Space Fabrics that could be used for astronaut spacesuits. Raul Polit Casillas is a systems engineer at Nasa’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. He has created a look like a chain mail, with small silver squares along with his colleagues.

NASA Space Fabrics:

NASA said these Space fabrics were printed and created in one piece with advanced technologies. And, these Space Fabrics have 4 vital functions:

  1. Reflectively.
  2. Passive heat management.
  3. Ability to fold.
  4. Tensile strength.

Raul Polit Casillas said: We call it ‘4-D printing’. Because? We can print both the geometry and the function of these materials.
